On daily basis, greater than 100 younger children flock to the Pink Fort parking space the place Than Singh and his group of volunteers look ahead to them.

For the previous 9 years, the Delhi police constable has been operating a college on the premises of the Lal Qila referred to as ‘Than Singh Ki Pathshala’.

It was in 2015 that he first noticed a number of kids promoting plastic bottles on streets and choosing up rags close to Pink Fort. “Many vacationers would come and click on their photographs, mocking their circumstances, I hated to see that. These kids have been doing odd jobs for Rs 50 as a result of their mother and father didn’t have sufficient sources to deal with them,” he says. 

“I additionally discovered these kids have been consuming gutka (betel nut). There are various individuals who affect kids to stroll the fallacious path, however only a few come ahead to assist them. Since then, Than Singh volunteered to train these children in order that they can come to somewhat par with their friends. “My foremost goal to show these kids was to stop them from committing crimes sooner or later and instil good behaviour amongst them,” he provides.
